I know the measurement of an object in the sky, how do I find out its height above ground from a photo of it.?

I have a camera with known optics, i.e., lens power, focal length, etc. I have a photo of an airplane in the sky and I know the exact measurement of the wingspan in feet and inches. The photo is taken directly underneath the aircraft flying overhead. With these known numbers and information, can I then determine the height of the aircraft above the ground from a photo of it? Thank you.
