Is it safe to cook an Amish Turkey when it's wrapping fills with air while it is defrosting?

should be okay depending on how thawed, air in bag is result of temperature change of air in bag if thawed in water. Air will not be a problem , it is only if it reaches room temperature and is kept at that temperature too long or if thawed and refrozen during storage , or if stored too long may have freezer burn.
