Why do dogs show the same staunch devotion to their masters as alot of humans show towards their chosen god.?

How do dogs know a God exists if they cannot think or speak like humans? Why do pet owners claim dogs or any other animal as part of the family? A dog knows its owner exist, humans have faith that God exists. Humans choose to believe in God. Dogs are simply our best friends.
