Where can i find what Germanic tribe are my ancestors?

my mom and dad's parents are all from holland, and migrated to Canada (where i live) after WWII. my mother's mother says that her family are descendants of Normans or Vikings. My dad said his family are descendended from Hugenots (which aren't barbarians but would have descended from the Germanic tribes) where can i find this out for free. Or can someday make an educated guess of the different tribes i am "from"?
