How much money should i take to Washington DC?

I already paid for airfare, hotel, food and everything like that but i don't know how much to take for shopping and stuff like that. i staying there for 6 days and 5 nights. What should i take with me on the plane since it takes 6hours to get there(ipod,book ect.)?
