Canon Powershot or Casio Exilim?

Canon Powershot...everyone says it's the best camera to get, the casio exilim is slim and everyone says it has an amazing battery life, one person said it broke and the lens got stuck...but that could have been the way it was shipped and packaged. (canon p im talking about is the one thats 10 megapixels and can be found in 5 different colors, i think it is an sd100 IS. Thank you, I appreciate any help.
