Which Would Be The Best First Car? Saab? VW? Honda?

Dude, first off screw the saab. Saab's were reliable back in the 90's when they were imported; now GM makes them. They're pieces of crap with expensive repairs and transmission problems. In regards to the civic or the jetta, the civic is more practical; both are pretty good cars though. If you're looking to spend around 7k, you may want to look into something like a 2000 maxima. They're really cool cars and you can pick them up with about 90k miles or so in that price range easily. Plus, they have slightly bigger engines, but still get good gas mileage. Maybe not as much as the civic; but they are more fun to drive than the civic.
